"The formal solutions of drMáriás's pictures simultaneously evoke the stylistic features of American pop art and Russian social art, but in both cases the relationship is quite distant." – Gábor Gulyás

He continued his art studies in Belgrade and moved to Hungary from the former Yugoslavia in 1991.

His work, which can be said to be total art, is mainly characterized by a loud and critical tone, as well as questions of existence arising from Eastern European identity, historical and political peculiarities. In his creative language, he operates with the tools of the avant-garde, Dadaism, pop art and surrealism. He defines his artistic and public writing activities as social surgery.
