András ORVOS

painter, graphic artist

  • Solo exhibitions
  • Work in a public collection

"András Orvos is admittedly one of the one-picture painters: he devotes a significant portion of his oeuvre to a single motif (the flower) and the painting problems that arise in connection with it." – Zsaklin Maczkay

"Ovors' visual world is undoubtedly rooted in pop art... The only motif of his works is the flower, the flower girl, which is mostly the rose. The enlarged rose motifs can be divided into two large groups: on the one hand, the decorative version composed with the pop art montage technique, and on the other hand, the naturalistic forms painted with glowing yellows and pulsating reds." – József Bárdosi
