Sára Richter - Deposit, 35×35 cm, embroidery, application, soaking, galvanized sheet, canvas
Ft 140,000
The picture Deposition is part of a series of 22 that I made in 2021-22. I sewed the pictures onto the canvas with wire or thread, then soaked them in a salt solution in a galvanized iron soaking pot. During drying, the image transforms, rusts, crystallizes, and as a result, the soaking vessel also becomes part of the image. In this way, the technology itself carries the meaning.
This picture was selected from the series and featured in the Infinitívusz – Pilinszky memorial exhibition series. Together with the accompanying Pilinszky poem, it appeared in the book published in connection with the exhibition.
