Csaba PÁL

painter - graphic artist

  • Award winner
  • Solo exhibitions

"His creations are reminiscent of models of chemical and technical experiments. His way of thinking leads to a kind of conceptualism, during which he organizes and models concepts. He researches the paradigms of art, knowledge, sciences and perception, and the change in their inner nature." Zsófia Beke, art historian

"Csaba Pál embodies the many types of artists of the 21st century, who is a painter, graphic designer, photographer, director and theorist at the same time. His exhibitions are the final stages of a research process, in which the creator raises artistic or even art-theoretical questions and searches for the answers to these using different mediums. At the center of his interest is the creative process itself, its layering and structure, the possibility of projecting absolute and personal time onto each other. He arranges his spaces with the precision of a choreographer, graphics-paintings-photos-video - he finds his exact place within the exhibition in the spirit of a well-thought-out concept. Behind Csaba Pál's apparently simple form formation and reduced color world, a tangle of hidden symbols is hidden, and its unraveling stimulates the viewer to in-depth observation and research work. He has been working with great intensity for nearly two decades, appearing every year with a solo exhibition, which are perceptibly the stations of an organically built artistic-researcher's work. This dissection attitude, this analytical and at the same time self-revealing attitude draws out the human-artistic individuality of Csaba Pál more and more sharply." Katalin T. Nagy, art historian
