In 1971 I moved to Switzerland. After finishing the College of Fine Arts, I continued my studies at the Gesammthochule in Kassel, majoring in visual communication, artistic photography and animation. I graduated in 1983 with the cartoon "Die Beflügelte Frau", which won an award at the Solothurn Film Festival. From 1984 to 2001 I worked as a freelance illustrator, and from 1999 to 2019 I taught illustration and artistic photography at the Lucerne College of Art. Since 2017, my wife and I have been running the Kunstmetzgerei Gallery in Lucerne, where we present international illustrators to the general public.
