Formulating the messages inherent in the landscape and space is sensitive visual documentation and mapping, but much more than that. Personal ties, emotions, impressions, roots, memories all shape, sublimate, pulverize and condense. As a painter, it is difficult to talk about painting, it can be about the road leading to it and the influences that lead to the creation of the pictures.

... Portable gardens, as sections, cut out areas that are portable and can be moved out of their own environment. Pieces of being that you can always take with you. Areas carved out of nature, as if creating their own environment, become specific material formations. The "space of absence" can be expressed, in which these delimited slices of existence appear. The theme of portable gardens was expanded with the Motherships series in connection with a life event, the birth of my son, and the processing of the situations surrounding the birth. The Motherships picture cycle is also a kind of (quasi) return to the themes of my previous pictures (15-19 years ago), the Bindings, the Moorings. The all-encompassing boat body, ship motif returns as the carrier of the living space, of the always-on-the-go and always a bit uncertain, but still determined form. The ship's hull includes the existents, the carrier and the carried, as a kind of bond. A safe haven in an uncertain existence. ... Alexandra Nádas, 2022
